How can I catch the thief who stole my wallet?

I was in Webster Hall Sunday night at a Matisyahu Concert. I left my jacket behind the speakers, thinking it would be a good hiding spot, but I came back an hour later and all my zippers were open, with my wallet missing. I called the credit card company to cancel my cards but there were already charges worth up to $300 made. There was also $60 in the wallet, and about $100 worth of train tickets. A detective is helping me with this case. He says he will check out any surveillance videos that the place had in order to see who made charges during the same time. Do you think they have surveillance cameras there? I mean, there were a lot of people doing drugs there, and it seemed really shady, yet it is a well-known place which means they should be able to afford surveillance. Any suggestions? What else can I do to help the detective help me?

be in contact with the credit car companies and get replacement cards with a lil picture of you on it. and then on the back in the signature box put check id.

this will prevent future things from happening i think
